We are providing an exciting opportunity for a graduate in social studies, to join Iranti for a 3 month internship opportunity as the Intersex Rights and Research intern. This role will be working closely with the Intersex Rights Programme officer, and other programmes officers on research and Iranti projects.
The ideal intern will have strong conceptualisation and research skills and knowledge on Intersex issues. The candidate will be able to effectively communicate with diverse audiences, have good organisational skills, and some knowledge on intersectional movement building. The individual must have knowledge of the human rights sector and the LBQTI community and the advocacy issues relating to LBQTI persons.
Desired Skills and Knowledge
- Degree or Diploma in Law, Social Sciences, development studies or related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data collection, and research methodology.
- Research experience and strong writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple constituencies and audiences, in and with diverse communities.
- Experience and knowledge in working with regional and human rights mechanisms.
- Proven ability to work independently, and ableness to prioritize concurrently running projects to meet deadlines whilst maintaining consistent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment to the work and values of Iranti.
